Victory Temple

Game Art final year project. Set in Ancient Rome, this temple is the player's final destination after a long and difficult journey. The primary goal was to create an environment following current industry practice to showcase my skills as an environment artist. I decided to focus on composition and how it helps guide the player through the environment. I also wanted to improve my skills with the high to low poly process and baking. For this project, I used Unreal Engine 5 and materials, plants and decals from Quixel Megascans. I also explored the photogrammetry process to create the "Winged Victory of Samothrace” statue. I decided to implement this statue because of what it represents. Although this statue is Greek I implemented it thinking that, in a game's story, it was stolen by the Romans and placed in this temple as a sign of victory for them. Finally, I created three different lighting situations to improve my lighting skills.
